Look, what have you done to me…

In this bloody world, I never had a day without worries, yesterday I had requirement problem, today I have coding problem, and tomorrow I will have deployment problem as software professional. Everyday I think about Eelam problem… but amidst of all these, there is only one guy who wither-out my problems before getting into some sleep. Sometimes, he comes as (in)famous gangster and sometimes he appears as a policeman (encounter specialist) but all the time, he saves me and many from depression, inflation and recession. He is none other than our own ‘Vadivelu’ (vaigai puyal).

I learnt a lot from him (his roles), there were/are many problems in day-to-day life, in most of those I managed to get rid off and some of those drown me into more problems. In both of the situations, I portray myself as Vadivelu. When I managed to get rid off a problem, I imagine myself as ‘Soona-paana’ who had stolen a sheep and put that back in rack and told myself don’t worry just move on ‘soona-paana poikitte iru’, when I couldn’t save myself from a problem, I portray myself as ‘Pokiri – Vadivelu’ and told myself to ‘be careful’ next time. He had given an opportunity to forget the past but learn from it.

He had shown to the world, even a loser could think himself as a ‘winner’ just by forgetting the past because ‘it happened in the last month’. That role had plenty of positive attitudes ‘on’ and ‘off’ screen. On screen, he appeared to me as a guy with lot of self-confidence and off-screen, I heard that his leg was really injured (he could take that pain but brought smile on all faces). If he couldn’t appeal audience by positive look, he took role of a ‘bakery owner’ and told the entire world ‘wealth should be earned genuinely’.

For all the families, he had shown few times that spouse should also get equal respect as time had changed (‘kaalam maari pochu’, thanks to Kovai Sarala) and we need to change with the time. As a ‘Naai Sekar’, he told this world, it is worth taking a chance to show who you are… your legs may tremble but never show your back. By taking the role of ‘Pulikesi the 21st’, he told the world, if you are at wrong side you cannot be successful and at the same time, if you got guts you can change the entire circumstance.

I have plenty of good things to list and he always looked like a hero to me, he never used hard lines or direct advices, he has been giving absolute happiness and big smile every time I watch him on screen. He used my senses to absorb my attention and made me think after the performance. Perhaps, if I have to say some negatives about his performance, he takes my golden time in the repetitive TV shows, even it is not of his problem, I need to restrain from these repetitions.

There are many good comedians in Tamil film industry, Vivek, Sandhanam and legends like ‘Kounda’ mani and Senthil.. etc… but this guy is so special among others. He started his career as supporting comedian and in the span of 20 years he grew up steadily to top comedian (even Rajnikant has to wait for Vadivelu’s call sheet). I look at him on screen with lot of admiration; he is one of those who are successful by sheer hard work and nothing specially gifted. Every child and adult uses his dialogues at least once in their routine (I am very much influenced and I use many times). I wish him good luck for many more attractive performances.
